Who is our Streetwise Team and what do they do?

The Streetwise Team delivers outreach services across communities throughout Glasgow, engaging directly with young people in the environments where they live and socialise. Through targeted support, workshops, and educational programmes, the team raises awareness of a range of important social issues, including alcohol and substance misuse, knife crime, sexual health, personal safety, and other matters affecting young people today.

The team provides a vital service to vulnerable young people across the city, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for positive engagement. By educating young people on the potential consequences of risk-taking behaviours and promoting informed decision-making, the Streetwise Team aims to empower individuals to make positive life choices and reduce their involvement in crime, violence, and other harmful activities.

A key strength of the Streetwise Team is its ability to build meaningful and trusting relationships with young people. Through a friendly, approachable, and non-judgemental manner, team members engage effectively with those who may be facing significant personal and social challenges. By taking the time to understand each young person's circumstances and experiences, the team is able to provide tailored support, foster positive outcomes, and encourage long-term personal development.

The Streetwise Team remains committed to improving the wellbeing, safety, and life opportunities of young people throughout Glasgow, helping them to realise their potential and make positive contributions to their communities.
